Madrid/Seville

The Palace on our walking tour of Madrid.

This was before I was entirely
soaked by the snow...

For some reason I couldn't get my captions to go beside my pictures here, so here they are, starting from the top of this blog to the bottom.

1)Some of the arches in the Palace of Alcazar in Seville

2) Alex and more of the Alcazar- beautiful gardens like these stretched around the whole back half of the palace.

3)Another courtyard filled with orange trees, which are seen all over Seville. Unfortunately, they didn't taste nearly as ripe as they looked....

4) Inside the Cathedral of Seville: High arched ceilings, stained glass, and a gleaming gold altar (the pictures don't really do it any justice, but you get the idea)

5) view of one side of Sevilla from the top of the Cathedral tower. The Cathedral is supposedly the 3rd largest in the world. If you look closely, you can see the bullfighting ring in the middle of the backdrop.

6) One of the views from the walk up to the top of the Cathedral tower. Surrounded by a spacious plaza and both white and colorful buildings and streets lined with orange trees.
